Rachel Preston Oaks
Rachel Preston Oaks (1809-1868) was a prominent figure among early Seventh-day Adventist pioneers. Rachel was the first that sought to restore the breach in the Law of God by starting to keep and advocate for the 7th day Sabbath and to keep ALL the commandments of God, to the early Protestant pioneer Seventh Day Adventists, thus making her one of the first numbers to make up the 144,000 in the Third Angel's Message era, from October 22, 1844 till the 144,000 in literal number is made up and probation then will close for the house of God. "Rachel became interested in the subject of the seventh-day Sabbath but experienced a lot of opposition from her Methodist minister. Seeing her conviction on the subject, he finally acquiesced to her keeping the Sabbath if she would not separate from the Methodist Church. She decided to part with the Methodists anyway and joined the Seventh Day Baptist Church at Verona on December 26, 1835. Two years later, on January 20, 1838, her daughter Delight followed her mother’s decision and joined the church as well." Learn more about Rachel Preston Oaks by clicking here

Elder Frederick Wheeler
Elder Frederick Wheeler, a convert of Rachel Preston Oaks to the 7th Day Sealing Sabbath, played a crucial role in the early Adventist movement. His commitment to spreading the gospel and his leadership within the community marked him as a significant figure among the early SDA Protestant pioneers. In 1840, eight years after his marriage, Wheeler was ordained a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He began reading Elder William Miller’s writings and by the end of 1842, he was convinced about the message of the soon second advent of Christ, and his congregation in Washington, New Hampshire embraced the message as well. Rachel Preston Oaks reportedly “kept tactfully but irrepressibly after Elder [Frederick] Wheeler,” the Millerite Methodist minister who preached at the church. At a quarterly meeting in the spring of 1844, Wheeler administered the communion and remarked that all those partaking in “the communion should be ready to follow Christ, and keep all of God’s commandments.” A couple of days later, he met Rachel Oaks at the home of the family of William Farnsworth. She reminded Wheeler of his remarks and then told him, “I came near getting up in the meeting at that point . . . and saying something.” She said, “I wanted to tell you that you would better set that communion table back and put the cloth over it until you begin to keep the commandments of God.” Those words “cut him deeper than anything that he had ever had spoken to him,” Wheeler later told another minister. Returning home, Wheeler pondered the question and, soon convinced, began to observe the seventh-day Sabbath. He thus became the first Seventh Day Adventist minister (meaning he believed in the soon 2nd coming of Christ AND the Seventh Day Sabbath, which made him one of the first numbers to help make up the 144,000 in the Third Angel's message era, from October 22,1844 until the 144,000 in literal number is made up and probation then closes for the house of God.

"I was shown the company present at the conference. Said the angel, “Some food for worms, some subject of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus.”1T 131, 132All who attended that conference have long been dead. So how are they going to stand upon the earth? See the Bible's description of the "special resurrection" that occurs about two weeks prior to the 2nd Coming of Christ so that they will be alive to be able to SEE the Son of God coming in the clouds of Heaven. Mrs. Hastings (1850) is a woman who was sealed by keeping the 7th day Sealing Sabbath and will be raised up to be one of the 144,000!
"I saw that she [Mrs. Hastings] was sealed and would come up at the voice of God and stand upon the earth, and would be with the 144,000. I saw we need not mourn for her; she would rest in the time of trouble, and all that we could mourn for was our loss in being deprived of her company. I saw her death would result in good.".—Letter 10, 1850, (2 Selected Messages, Page 263).

"The guests at the marriage feast are those who profess to be the friends of Christ, but who do not bear His likeness. It is the privilege of every soul to become a bride of Christ. But those who are content with the relationship of a guest, are not in union with Him." (Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 307)
"The guests at the marriage feast are those who profess to serve God, those whose names are written in the book of life. But they are not the bride. The parable of the wedding garment opens before us a lesson of the highest consequence. By the marriage is represented the union of humanity with divinity; the wedding garment represents the character which all must possess who shall be accounted fit guests for the wedding." Ellen G. White, Christ's Object Lessons, p. 307
