Who Are We to Pray To?

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. But when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

Matthew 6:6-13

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God …”

Philippians 4:6

“Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; and to You the vow shall be performed. O You who hear prayer, to You all flesh will come.”

Psalm 65:1-2

“… Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

John 16:23-24

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

John 14:13-14

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you.”

John 16:23-26 (KJV)

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, as surely as the Lord liveth, before whom I stand, standing on the promises of Your Word. Your scriptures assure us of Your healing power and Your desire to restore us to perfect health. We claim these promises for ourselves and for those we love, trusting in Your faithfulness and mercy.

Lord, Your Word declares:

  1. I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26).
  2. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord (Jeremiah 30:17).
  3. Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth (Jeremiah 33:6).
  4. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
  5. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2-3).

We lift up [Insert Name] to You now, asking that You fulfill these promises in their life. Lord, bring healing and restoration to their body, mind, and spirit. We trust in Your mighty power and believe that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.

Thank You, Father, for Your healing touch and Your unwavering love. We give You all the glory and honor, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV): "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."

The Transformative Power of Truth in Spiritual Warfare

Truth alone, when empowered by the Spirit, can dismantle the deceptions and oppression of the enemy. As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (KJV), "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity EVERY THOUGHT to the obedience of Christ." These words highlight the divine, dynamite-like power of our spiritual weapons to demolish arguments and pretensions that oppose the knowledge of God. Paul is addressing the subtle thoughts, beliefs, and mindsets sown into our thinking by the enemy. Truth, spoken in faith and empowered by prayer—especially in agreement with others—can root out faulty thinking and bring our minds into obedience to Christ.

Now, imagine going to war without any weapon of offense. It would be absolutely absurd. How could we possibly attack the enemy? Yet, you and I are engaged in spiritual warfare daily, whether we realize it or not. Consider this: don't we often step onto the frontlines of spiritual battle without wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God? As Ephesians 6:17 (KJV) states, "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."

In spiritual warfare, the Word of God is our offensive weapon, essential for defeating the enemy. Let us not enter the battlefield unarmed, but rather, let us wield the power of God's Word with faith and determination.

Jeremiah 12:16 (KJV): "And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The Lord liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people."

Verses Containing "As Surely As the Lord Liveth" as instructed per Jeremiah 12:16 "And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The Lord liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people."

So, start to BEGIN YOUR PRAYERS per Jeremiah 12:16 "As Surely As the Lord Liveth" and then by faith in your minds eye take your petition to God in the name of his Son into the Most Holy Place in the Third Heaven, come boldly yet humbly before the Throne of the Living God and present whatever you desire and then claim a promise like Matthew 18:19 or John 14:14 or John 15:7 and believe with all your heart that you have what you asked for and say "So be it" and start praising and thanking God for answering your prayer and KNOW that at the time you need it most it WILL HAPPEN guaranteed by God himself. DO NOT DOUBT ONE IOTA. Remember, God said it, we believe it, and that settles it for us!

Keep pressing your petitions to the Throne room and do not doubt at all and you WILL have what you ask for guaranteed by God himself. Check out these verses below that contain examples of following Jeremiah 12:16 and start swearing by his name, "As Surely As The Lord Liveth" and then the rest of your prayer following the example above and watch your prayers be answered! God Has a Purpose in Every Affliction

Enduring Trials: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:12-13

One evening a gentleman who was much depressed because of deep affliction was walking in a garden, where he observed a pomegranate tree nearly cut through the stem. Greatly wondering, he asked the gardener why the tree was in this condition, and he received an answer that explained to his satisfaction the wounds of his own bleeding heart. “Sir,” said the gardener, “this tree used to shoot out so strong that it bore nothing but leaves. I was obliged to cut it in this manner; and when it was almost cut through, it began to bear fruit.”

Our sorrows do not spring out of the ground. In every affliction God has a purpose to work out for our good. Every blow that destroys an idol, every providence that weakens our hold upon earth and fastens our affections more firmly upon God, is a blessing. The pruning may be painful for a time, but afterward it “yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness.” We should receive with gratitude whatever will quicken the conscience, elevate the thoughts, and ennoble the life. The fruitless branches are cut off and cast into the fire. Let us be thankful that through painful pruning we may retain a connection with the living Vine; for if we suffer with Christ, we shall also reign with Him. The very trial that taxes our faith the most severely and makes it seem as though God had forsaken us is to lead us more closely to Him, that we may lay all our burdens at the feet of Christ and experience the peace which He will give us in exchange.... God loves and cares for the feeblest of His creatures, and we cannot dishonor Him more than by doubting His love to us. O let us cultivate that living faith that will trust Him in the hour of darkness and trial! ML 93.3
