What is the nature of the blessing in the 1335 Days Prophecy? The 1335 Days Prophecy is understood as a promise of blessing to those who endure until the end of this period. It points to Christ's movement into the Most Holy Place in 1844, symbolizing His marriage to the 144,000. These faithful believers are identified by their observance of the seventh-day Sabbath, which is the seal of God.

Calculation for the 1335 Days Prophecy:

    • Starting Date: 508 AD (same as the 1290 Days Prophecy)
    • Step 1: Add 1335 years to 508 AD.
    • Step 2: 508 AD + 1335 years = 1843/1844 AD (leading to the great disappointment and the understanding of the investigative judgment October 22, 1844, the selection of the Bride of Christ, the 144,000).

    Dates: 508 AD - 1843/1844 AD
    Bible Text: Daniel 12:12

How does the 391 Years and 15 Days Prophecy fit into the broader prophetic framework? The 391 Years and 15 Days Prophecy is the period allotted to the Ottoman Empire, culminating in its fall. This event is considered part of the larger series of judgments depicted in the book of Revelation.

Calculation for the 391 Years and 15 Days Prophecy:

    • Starting Date: July 27, 1449 AD (the fall of Constantinople)
    • Step 1: Add 391 years and 15 days to July 27, 1449.
    • Step 2: July 27, 1449 + 391 years and 15 days = August 11, 1840.

    Dates: July 27, 1449 - August 11, 1840
    Bible Text: Revelation 9:15

What is the relevance of the 2520 Years Prophecy today? The 2520 Years Prophecy is viewed by some Adventists as symbolizing the period of Israel's punishment and subsequent restoration, with applications for understanding God's dealings with his people in the last days.

Calculation for the 2520 Years Prophecy:

    • Starting Date: 677 BC (captivity of Manasseh)
    • Step 1: Calculate the years from 677 BC to 1 BC (676 years).
    • Step 2: Subtract these 676 years from the total 2520 years: 2520 years - 676 years = 1844 years.
    • Step 3: Add these 1844 years to 1 AD: 1 AD + 1844 years = 1844 AD. Ended October 22, 1844

    Dates: 677 BC - 1844 AD
    Bible Texts: Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24, 28

What do the Seven Trumpets symbolize? The Seven Trumpets are symbolic of various judgments that fall upon the earth, historically interpreted as events leading to the fall of the Roman Empire and other significant upheavals in world history.

Calculation for the Seven Trumpets Prophecy:

  • Various historical events from 395 AD (First Trumpet) to 1844 AD (Seventh Trumpet, marking the start of the investigative judgment on October 22, 1844 which started the selection process of the 144,000 who keep the sealing 7th day Sabbath).

Dates: 395 AD - October 22, 1844 AD
Bible Texts: Revelation 8-9, 11:15-19

Why are the Three Angels' Messages so critical? The Three Angels' Messages are God's final warning to the world, calling people to worship the Creator, reject false worship, and prepare for the judgment. They are central to Adventist evangelism.

The Seven Last Plagues represent the final outpouring of God's wrath upon those who have rejected His mercy. These plagues precede the second coming of Christ and signify the end of probation for humanity. They are the culmination of the judgment process, leading to the ultimate restoration of God's kingdom.

Calculation for the Three Angels' Messages:

"My accompanying angel bade me look for the travail of soul for sinners as used to be. I looked, but could not see it, for the time of their salvation is passed." 1LtMs, Ms 1, 1849, par. 9

“All heaven watched with the deepest interest the reception of the message. But many who profess to love Jesus, and who shed tears as they read the story of the cross, instead of receiving the message with gladness, are stirred, with anger, and deride the good news of Jesus’ coming, and declare it to be delusion. They would not fellowship those who loved his appearing, but hated them, and shut them out of the churches. Those who rejected the first message could not be benefited by the second, and were not benefited by the midnight cry, which was to prepare them to enter with Jesus by faith into the Most Holy place of the heavenly Sanctuary. [The Midnight Cry and the Loud Cry are very similar in preparing a people to stand true to God, as the Loud Cry is to prepare you to stand true to God during the time of trouble and the plagues, the 7th plague is the 2nd Coming of Christ] And by rejecting the two former messages, they can see no light in the third angel's message, which shows the way into the Most Holy place. I saw that the nominal churches [SDA in name only since 1904 = nominal], as the Jews crucified Jesus, had crucified these messages, and therefore

they have no knowledge of the move made in heaven, or of the way into the Most Holy, and they cannot be benefited by the intercession of Jesus there.

Like the Jews, who offered their useless sacrifices, they offer up their useless prayers to the apartment which Jesus has left, and Satan, pleased with the deception of the professed followers of Christ, fastens them in his snare, and assumes a religious character, and leads the minds of these professed Christians to himself, and works with his power, his signs and lying wonders. Some he deceives in one way and some in another. He has different delusions prepared to affect different minds. Some look with horror upon one deception, while they readily receive another. Satan deceives some with Spiritualism. He also comes as an angel of light [preachers/pastors/priests/clergy], and spreads his influence over the land. I saw false reformations everywhere. The [501(c)3 structured nonprofit] churches were elated, and considered that God was marvelously working for them, when it was another spirit. It will die away and leave the world and the church in a worse condition than before.” — 1858 Spiritual Gifts, Volume 1

"Satan is working that the history of the Jewish nation may be repeated in the experience of those who claim to believe present truth. The Jews had the Old Testament Scriptures, and supposed themselves conversant with them. But they made a woeful mistake. The prophecies that refer to the glorious second appearing of Christ in the clouds of heaven they regarded as referring to His first coming. Because He did not come according to their expectations, they turned away from Him. Satan knew just how to take these men in his net, and deceive and destroy them. The very same Satan is at work to undermine the faith of the people of God at this time. There are persons ready to catch up every new idea. The prophecies of Daniel and the Revelation are misinterpreted. These persons do not consider that the truth has been set forth at the appointed time by the very men whom God was leading to do this special work. These men followed on step by step in the very fulfillment of prophecy, and those who have not had a personal experience in this work, are to take the Word of God and believe on 'their word' who have been led by the Lord in the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels’ messages. These messages, received and acted upon, are doing their work to prepare a people to stand in the great day of God. If we search the Scriptures to confirm the truth God has given His servants for the world, we shall be found proclaiming the first, second, and third angels’ messages. It is true that there are prophecies yet to be fulfilled. But very erroneous work has been done again and again, and will continue to be done by those who seek to find new light in the prophecies, and who begin by turning away from the light that God has already given." Selected Messages, book 2, pages 111-112 (emphasis supplied).
"It is true that there are prophecies yet to be fulfilled. But very erroneous work has been done again and again, and will continue to be done by those who seek to find new light in the prophecies, and who begin by turning away from the light that God has already given. The messages of (Revelation 14) are those by which the world is to be tested, they are the everlasting gospel, and are to be sounded everywhere. But the Lord does not lay upon those who have not had an experience in His work the burden of making a new exposition of these prophecies, which He has, by His Holy Spirit, moved upon His chosen servants to explain." 11LtMs, Ms32,1896, par. 26.

The 2520 Bible Prophecy Explained

The 2520 prophecy as a period of time mentioned in the Bible, but it is not directly cited with the number 2520 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. The interpretation of the 2520 prophecy comes from a combination of verses in Leviticus 26, where God warns Israel of the consequences of their disobedience.

Here’s how the key verses are typically cited and quoted:

Leviticus 26:18 (KJV)
"And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins."

Leviticus 26:21 (KJV)
"And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins."

Leviticus 26:24 (KJV)
"Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins."

Leviticus 26:28 (KJV)
"Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins."

Interpretation of the 2520 Prophecy

The phrase "seven times" is interpreted as a prophetic time period, with each "time" representing 360 years, totaling 2520 years (7x360=2520). This interpretation is derived by applying the principle of a day for a year (as in Ezekiel 4:6 and Numbers 14:34), leading to the conclusion that these passages in Leviticus refer to a 2520-year period of judgment.

On page 16 of Captain Joseph Bates rare old book titled 'Second Advent: Waymarks and Highheaps', we are repeating his words that Sister White said to repeat,

The experience of William Miller and his associates, of Captain Joseph Bates, and of other pioneers in the advent message, should be kept before our people." Letter 105, 1903

Elder Bates states, "For instance, we now could see clearly that it would take every hour of 457 B. C., and 1843 years after to fill up 2300 days or years; and so of the seven times of the Gentiles; 677 B. C. and 1843, was only 2520 as given on the chart. Here we see plainly that the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem, did not go forth until the middle of 457; and so of the captivity of Manasseh, B. C. 677. And also that the 6000 year of the world could not be complete until the seventh month, where it commences.

Jesus is Coming Again, October 22, 1844, early SDA pioneers

That the ten Virgins, a company of Second Advent believers, had been out with their lamps (Bibles) to meet the bridegroom (Christ) in 1843, was not doubted. That he terried, that is, came not so soon as they expected him, was also clear. That this company became drowsey and fell asleep, and consequently lost a great part of their interest in the doctrine, and especially on time, was afterwards fully demonstrated, first by the publication of a letter from one of our leading messengers (Wm. Miller) in Advent papers, which stated that we must now look for the bridegroom (or Christ) every day until he came. This was generally admitted, but soon proved to be a great mistake; But it was about the best we knew at that time, (May 1844) for while we were in this stupid, dark and still time, (Midnight) a cry was raised, which clearly proved that the Bridegroom could not come until at least three months.

Explaination of the time on the 1850 chart bottom right corner seven-times-2520-prophecy-ended-october-22-1844

Secondly, by the tens of thousands of confessions which these very same virgins made, at private and general conference, and camp meetings, after they were aroused by a cry at Midnight [Matthew 25:6, Revelation 18:4]. So clearly was this part of the parable fulfilled, that I can now hardly remember an individual among all the virgins, that did not confess (and many with pungent sorrow) their stupidity and loss of interest in the doctrine and time of the Advent. It may answer for individuals who seldom visited our general meetings, to deny this fact, but any one who frequented them at this crisis must have had their ears closed, and been fast asleep, not to have witnessed the multiplied and continual cases of this kind, in all parts of the meeting. Buy why need I labor any further to prove what almost every living virgin in that company knows was their experience. I think it would be as easy to prove that we never had any meetings after April 1844. I think this, with what further additional evidence we shall offer in another place, will sufficietly demonstrate this second waymark in our pathway, during this judgement hour proclamation. For we did clearly and literally, according to the representation of an Eastern marriage, fulfil the text in the 5v; viz: became drowsy and fell asleep while the Bridegroom tarried."

Romans 3:4 - "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in THY sayings, and mightest overcome when THOU art judged."

The first angel's message in Revelation 14:7 declares, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of HIS judgment is come."

"God's PURPOSE in giving the Third Angel's message [Revelation 14:9-12] is to prepare a people to stand true to Him during the investigative judgment." 1MR223.2

The investigative judgment is the selection process (similar to Queen Esther) for the Bride of Christ, the 144,000, his remnant Seventh-day Advent remnant church triumphant from God's professed people who claim to keep the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Those who think the church militant is the church triumphant make a GREAT MISTAKE.

The 2520 prophecy (7x360=2520) is a significant topic discussed by early Seventh-day Adventist reformer pioneers, who restored and kept the 7th-day Sabbath (The Bride making herself ready, the 144,000!). These pioneers, who lived during the Era of the Third Angel's Message (beginning on October 22, 1844) and remained faithful keeping the 7th day Sabbath until probation closes and Jesus stands up and declares, "It is Finished," are part of the 144,000. Those who have died during the Era of the Third Angel's Message (Revelation 14:9-12) will be resurrected approximately two weeks before the Second Coming of Christ in the Special Resurrection mentioned in Daniel 12:2. The 144,000 began to be numbered from October 22, 1844, particularly in connection with the 1843 and 1850 prophecy charts. The 2520 prophecy, derived from Leviticus 26, is interpreted as a period of 2520 years, marking the duration of God's punishment on Israel starting BC 677 to October 22, 1844 (7x360=2520).

Calculating 2520 years from BC 677 brings us to October 22, 1844

— a pivotal date marking the end of the 2520 seven times 360 year = 2520 prophecy - and the end of the 2300 day prophecy - and the BEGINNING of the numbering of the 144,000 during the "investigative judgment" bride of Christ selection Era of the Third Angel's Message (Rev. 14:9-12), the Harvest Time, during the gathering time. This event signifies the RESTORATION of GOD's IMAGE in HIS PEOPLE, those who uphold the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, particularly by honoring the long-trodden down 4th Commandment, the 7th day sealing Sabbath that God said to "Remember". This period also marks the BEGINNING of the Gathering of the 144,000, a group symbolizing the Bride of Christ, selected through the process known as the "investigative judgment." The Third Angel's Message (Revelation 14:9-12) plays a crucial role in RESTORING the SEALING SABBATH to God's Remnant People.

From BC 677 to October 22, 1844, the prophecy found in Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24, and 28, where "seven times" represents a period of judgment and punishment for Israel due to disobedience, was fulfilled through the 2520 Prophecy, as illustrated on the 1843 and 1850 Charts.

So, 677 BC starts the 2520 prophecy of Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24, and 28 and it ends October 22, 1844, the beginning of the gathering time of the 144,000.

Calculation For the 2520 Prophecy:

We start with the year 677 BC (from 2 Chron. 33:11). We need to add 2520 years (Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24, 28) Prophecy (7x360=2520) to this date.

Step 1: Calculate the years from 677 BC to 1 BC:

Since there is no year 0, moving from 677 BC to 1 BC covers 676 years.

(Which makes it 1844 instead of 1843 = Termination of 7 times.)

Step 2: Subtract these 676 years from the total 2520 years:

2520 years - 676 years = 1844 years

Step 3: Add these 1844 years to 1 AD:

1 AD + 1844 years = 1844 AD

Therefore, adding 2520 years to 677 BC brings us to the year 1844 AD.

“When the power of God testifies as to what is truth, that truth is to stand forever as the truth. No after-suppositions, contrary to the light God has given are to be entertained. Men will arise with interpretations of Scripture which are to them truth, but which are NOT truth. The truth for this time, God has given us as a foundation for our faith. He Himself has taught us what is truth. One will arise, and still another, with new light which contradicts the light that God has given under the demonstration of His Holy Spirit. A few are still alive who passed through the experience gained in the establishment of this truth. God has graciously spared their lives to repeat and repeat till the close of their lives, the experience through which they passed even as did John the apostle till the very close of his life. And the standard-bearers who have fallen in death, are to speak through the reprinting of their writings. I am instructed that thus their voices are to be heard. and They are to bear their testimony as to what constitutes the truth for this time.” Preach the Word, p. 5. Ellen G. White on the 1843 and 1850 Prophecy Charts

The 1843 Chart (Charles Fitch and Apollos Hale prepared the 1843 chart)

The chart designed in 1842 by Charles Fitch, a Congregational pastor, and Apollos Hale, a Methodist preacher, quickly gained widespread recognition among the Millerites. It was officially endorsed during their Boston General Conference in May 1842. The chart’s compelling visual elements and carefully organized prophetic timelines became a signature feature of Millerite evangelism, effectively clarifying and presenting the 1843 time prophecies in a visually appealing and understandable format.

Ellen White wrote in Early Writings:

"I have seen that the 1843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as He wanted them; that His hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until His hand was removed." Early Writings, p. 74 (1850)

The mistake explained: The discrepancy between 1843 and 1844 in the prophetic charts can be attributed to the absence of a "year zero" in the transition between BC and AD years.

The 1850 Chart

Ellen White mentioned a vision she had regarding the 1850 Habbakuk 2:2-3 Prophecy Chart:

"God shewed me the necessity of getting out a chart. I saw it was needed and that the truth made plain upon tables would effect much and would cause souls to come to the knowledge of the truth." (Letter 26, 1850; 13MR 359)
“there is a prophecy [Habbakuk 2:2-3] of this chart in the bible” (13MR 359)

Endorsement of the 1850 Chart

Ellen G. White did indeed endorse the 1843 and 1850 prophecy charts as being divinely inspired. She believed that the charts fulfilled the prophecy in Habakkuk 2:2, which says, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." According to Ellen White, the charts were created under the guidance of God, and she saw them as essential tools for understanding the prophetic timelines.

Ellen White had a vision in which she saw that the 1850 chart published by Elder Otis Nichols was necessary and that it was a fulfillment of the prophecy in Habakkuk 2:2, which says, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables." She stated:

"I saw that God was in the publishment of the chart by Brother Nichols. I saw that there was a prophecy of this chart in the Bible." Ellen G. White Letters & Manuscripts, June 2, 1853

This statement and the fact that it was a vision from God who showed her that the creation and dissemination of the chart were in accordance with this biblical prophecy:

"And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2-3 (KJV)

The Impact of the Year Zero on Prophetic Calculations

The discrepancy between the years 1843 and 1844 in the early prophetic 1843 and 1850 charts, particularly the 2520-year and 2300-year prophecies, can be attributed to the absence of a "year zero" when transitioning from BC to AD years.

Starting Points: 677 BC and 457 BC

The 2520-year prophecy begins in 677 BC (from 2 Chron. 33:11) marking the captivity of Manasseh, and the 2300-year prophecy (from Daniel 8:14) starts in 457 BC, marking the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (Ezra 7:12-26).

Calculating from BC to AD

When calculating the years from 677 BC to 1 BC, we account for 676 years because there is no "year zero." Similarly, from 457 BC to 1 BC also accounts for 456 years. Moving from 1 BC to 1 AD covers just one year.

Remaining Years After Subtracting BC Years

2520-year prophecy: Subtracting the 676 years from 2520 leaves 1844 years (2520 - 676 = 1844).

2300-year prophecy: Subtracting 456 years from 2300 leaves 1844 years (2300 - 456 = 1844).

Final Calculation

Adding these 1844 years to 1 AD brings us to the year 1844 AD for both prophecies. Therefore, the termination of the 2520-year prophecy from 677 BC and the 2300-year prophecy from 457 BC both correctly point to 1844 AD, not 1843 AD.

Correction of the Issue

The original charts, which calculated the end of these prophecies in 1843, did not account for the absence of a "year zero." This oversight (which God had his hand over during the Great Disappointment test for God's people - same as the apostles who expected Christ to rule but instead died and arose from the dead, their expectations were corrected in 31 AD (on the chart) as well) was later corrected, and the accurate end date of 1844 AD was established, aligning with the prophetic understanding of significant events occurring in that year.

A Divine Romance

A Divine Romance: The Son of God and His Peculiar Treasure, the 144,000

Since October 22, 1844, a divine romance has been unfolding between the Son of God and His unique, cherished people—His bride, the 144,000. This spiritual journey symbolizes the pure church, unblemished and triumphant, with God selecting a bride for His Son during the "investigative judgment," reminiscent of Queen Esther's selection. As stated in The Great Controversy (p. 480.1), "ONLY the cases of the professed people of God are considered at the investigative judgment."

In this sacred process, those who wholeheartedly surrender, obeying all of God's commands and trusting fully in His promises, are considered the most beautiful among His professed people. This selection mirrors the biblical account where King Ahasuerus sought to display Queen Vashti's beauty to the princes, but she refused (the image of the beast refuses as well). In contrast, God's chosen people are called to demonstrate their beauty through their faithful adherence to the historical Seventh-day Adventist beliefs in their daily lives. Those who reject this call are replaced by others who will obey and manifest the beauty of living in accordance with the Ten Commandments and the faith of Jesus.

The Son of God is tenderly wooing His bride, the 144,000, into heaven. This faithful few, by faith, enter the Most Holy Place—the "Bridal Chamber" or "Chuppa"—in the heavenly sanctuary to be united with the Son of God in truth (Psalm 119:142) and righteousness for eternity. Since October 22, 1844, the bride has been preparing herself, akin to Queen Esther's purification before presenting herself to the king. She adorns herself only with what her beloved provides, like the precious jewels in jewels found in William Miller's dream. William Miller's dream, some as small as the head of a pin, symbolizing the priceless souls won to Christ.

The Son of God and His bride invite others to join the banquet feast of truth prepared for the wise virgin Philadelphians—the church of brotherly love, the 144,000, and the church triumphant since 1844. This bride, betrothed to the Son of God by a blood covenant, declares, "He is mine and I am His." As followers, we must be prepared to stand alone for truth like Daniel, Job, and Esther. Living out the truth ("thy law is truth," Psalm 119:142) consummates this heavenly marriage in the presence of Christ. Claim the promises of God for perfection of character (2 Peter 1:4) and remember His assurance: "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37).

The 144,000: Modern Protestant Reformers, Prophets, Priests and Kings - The Reformation removed the sackcloth from the two witnesses (The Two Witnesses are the Bible's Old and New Testaments)

Introduction

The 144,000, a special group sealed by God and standing with the Lamb, play a crucial role in the culmination of human history (Revelation 7:4; 14:1, KJV). Drawing parallels from Scripture and early Seventh-day Adventist Protestant pioneers [1840-1850 timeframe], the 144,000 can be likened to John the Baptist, Elijah, and Melchizedek, serving as modern reformers and prophets with the Spirit of Prophecy (Revelation 19:10)

Revelation 19:10 (KJV)

"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Revelation 12:17 (KJV)

"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed [144,000], which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Daniel: The Father of the 144,000, a Nation: A Prophetic Legacy

"They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee." - Psalm 83:2-5 (KJV) Daniel, who can be considered the father of the 144,000, faced immense trials when he was taken captive by the king of Babylon at the tender age of 17 and made a eunuch. Despite his distress at being a "dry tree," God promised him that he would stand in his lot at the end of days: "But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days" (Daniel 12:13 KJV). This prophetic assurance began to be realized in 1798 when the remnant little flock (144,000) was beginning to be raised up, as prophesied after the Dark Ages (538 AD to 1798 AD). Knowing that the prophecy of 70 years of captivity was about to be fulfilled, Daniel earnestly prayed for the deliverance of his people and sought forgiveness for their apostasy on their behalf.

The beginning of the end of time which began in 1798 AD when the remnant little flock (144,000) was first being raised up, as prophesied after the Dark Ages (538 AD to 1798 AD). Knowing that the prophecy of 70 years of captivity was about to be fulfilled, Daniel earnestly prayed for the deliverance of his people out of Babylon and sought forgiveness for their apostasy on their behalf.

Here's a EXCERPT from the 2nd Marriage Covenant's 1850 Prophecy Chart's "Explanation of Time', Habbakuk 2:2-3, 1850 Prophecy Chart prepared by Lithographer Elder Otis Nichols:

Explaination of the time on the 1850 chart bottom right corner

The 2520 (7 times) Prophecy, started when Manasseh as taken captive by Babylon in 2 Chron. 33:11.

In 677 BC, the start of the 2520 "seven times" (Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24, 28) Prophecy (7x360=2520) "Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon." 2 Chronicles 33:11, King James Version (KJV)

The 2520 prophecy is a concept rooted in the interpretation of Leviticus 26, where the term "seven times" is associated with a period of judgment and punishment for Israel due to their disobedience. This period is understood to represent 2520 years, beginning with the captivity of the northern kingdom of Israel and extending to the restoration of God's people. The prophecy was illustrated in the early Millerite movement and prominently featured on the 1843 and 1850 prophetic charts used by William Miller and the early SDA Protestant pioneers.

Here's the 2nd Marriage Covenant, Habbakuk 2:2-3, 1843 Prophecy Chart prepared by Elder Charles Fitch and Elder Appollos Hale:

Explaination of the time on the 1843 chart top right corner

The 1843 Prophetic Chart, a significant tool in the Millerite movement, displayed the 2520 years alongside the more commonly emphasized 2300 days of Daniel 8:14. The 2520 years were a timeline marking the scattering of Israel due to their rebellion against God, as foretold in Leviticus 26:18, 21, 24, and 28, which mentioned the multiplication of their punishment "seven times" for their sins. This period was calculated from the time of Manasseh's captivity (2 Chron. 33:11; circa 677 B.C.), a date that marked the beginning of God's punishment upon the nation.

The 1850 chart, which followed the Great Disappointment of 1844, continued to include the 2520 prophecy as part of the broader prophetic framework understood by early Adventists. This chart highlighted the fulfillment of various time prophecies, with the 2520 years confirming the period of Israel's scattering and their eventual gathering (starting October 22, 1844) as God's chosen people during the selection of the Bride of Christ, the 144,000. The conclusion of the 2520 years was believed to align with the end of the Gentile dominion and the beginning (October 22, 1844) of the final restoration and preparation for Christ's second coming.

The Bride of Christ loves her husband. Hosea 2:16 NRSW "On that day, says the Lord, you will call me, “My husband,” and no longer will you call me, “My Baal.”g 17 For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they shall be mentioned by name no more. 18 I will make for youh a covenant on that day with the wild animals, the birds of the air, and the creeping things of the ground; and I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land; and I will make you lie down in safety. 19 And I will take you for my wife forever; I will take you for my wife in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love, and in mercy. 20 I will take you for my wife in faithfulness; and you shall know the Lord."

Hosea 2:16 KJV 16 "And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi [husband]; and shalt call me no more Baali [master]."

"The preaching of definite time called forth great opposition from all classes, from the minister in the pulpit down to the most reckless, heaven-daring sinner. "No man knoweth the day nor the hour," was heard from the hypocritical minister and the bold scoffer. Neither would be instructed and corrected by those who were pointing to the year when they believed the prophetic periods would run out, and to the signs which showed Christ near, even at the doors. Many shepherds of the flock, who professed to love Jesus, said that they had no opposition to the preaching of Christ's coming, but they objected to the definite time. God's all-seeing eye read their hearts. They did not love Jesus near. They knew that their unchristian lives would not stand the test, for they were not walking in the humble path marked out by Him. These false shepherds stood in the way of the work of God. The truth spoken in its convincing power aroused the people, and like the jailer, they began to inquire, "What must I do to be saved?" But these shepherds stepped in between the truth and the people, and preached smooth things to lead them from the truth. They united with Satan and his angels, crying, "Peace, peace," when there was no peace. Those who loved their ease and were content with their distance from God would not be aroused from their carnal security. I saw that angels of God marked it all; the garments of those unconsecrated shepherds were covered with the blood of souls.

Ministers who would not accept this saving message themselves hindered those who would have received it. The blood of souls is upon them. Preachers and people joined to oppose this message from heaven and to persecute William Miller and those who united with him in the work. Falsehoods were circulated to injure his influence; and at different times after he had plainly declared the counsel of God, applying cutting truths to the hearts of his hearers, great rage was kindled against him, and as he left the place of meeting, some waylaid him in order to take his life. But angels of God were sent to protect him, and they led him safely away from the angry mob. His work was not yet finished.EW 234.1

The most devoted gladly received the message. They knew that it was from God and that it was delivered at the right time. Angels were watching with the deepest interest the result of the heavenly message, and when the churches turned from and rejected it, they in sadness consulted with Jesus. He turned His face from the churches and bade His angels faithfully watch over the precious ones who did not reject the testimony, for another light was yet to shine upon them.EW 235.1

I saw that if professed Christians had loved their Saviour's appearing, if they had placed their affections on Him, and had felt that there was none upon the earth to be compared with Him, they would have hailed with joy the first intimation of His coming. But the dislike which they manifested, as they heard of their Lord's coming, was a decided proof that they did not love Him. Satan and his angels triumphed, and cast it in the face of Christ and His holy angels, that His professed people had so little love for Jesus that they did not desire His second appearing.EW 235.2

I saw the people of God joyful in expectation, looking for their Lord. But God designed to prove them. His hand covered a mistake in the reckoning of the prophetic periods. Those who were looking for their Lord did not discover this mistake, and the most learned men who opposed the time also failed to see it. God designed that His people should meet with a disappointment. The time passed, and those who had looked with joyful expectation for their Saviour were sad and disheartened, while those who had not loved the appearing of Jesus, but embraced the message through fear, were pleased that He did not come at the time of expectation. Their profession had not affected the heart and purified the life. The passing of the time was well calculated to reveal such hearts. They were the first to turn and ridicule the sorrowful, disappointed ones who really loved the appearing of their Saviour. I saw the wisdom of God in proving His people and giving them a searching test to discover those who would shrink and turn back in the hour of trial.EW 235.3

Jesus and all the heavenly host looked with sympathy and love upon those who had with sweet expectation longed to see Him whom their souls loved. Angels were hovering around them, to sustain them in the hour of their trial. Those who had neglected to receive the heavenly message were left in darkness, and God's anger was kindled against them, because they would not receive the light which He had sent them from heaven. Those faithful, disappointed ones, who could not understand why their Lord did not come, were not left in darkness. Again they were led to their Bibles to search the prophetic periods. The hand of the Lord was removed from the figures, and the mistake was explained. They saw that the prophetic periods reached to 1844, and that the same evidence which they had presented to show that the prophetic periods closed in 1843, proved that they would terminate in 1844. Light from the Word of God shone upon their position, and they discovered a tarrying time—“Though it [the vision] tarry, wait for it.” In their love for Christ's immediate coming, they had overlooked the tarrying of the vision, which was calculated to manifest the true waiting ones. Again they had a point of time. Yet I saw that many of them could not rise above their severe disappointment to possess that degree of zeal and energy which had marked their faith in 1843.EW 236.1

Satan and his angels triumphed over them, and those who would not receive the message congratulated themselves upon their farseeing judgment and wisdom in not receiving the delusion, as they called it. They did not realize that they were rejecting the counsel of God against themselves, and were working in union with Satan and his angels to perplex God's people, who were living out the heaven-sent message.EW 236.2

The believers in this message were oppressed in the churches. For a time, those who would not receive the message were restrained by fear from acting out the sentiments of their hearts; but the passing of the time revealed their true feelings. They wished to silence the testimony which the waiting ones felt compelled to bear, that the prophetic periods extended to 1844. With clearness the believers explained their mistake and gave the reasons why they expected their Lord in 1844. Their opposers could bring no arguments against the powerful reasons offered. Yet the anger of the churches was kindled; they were determined not to listen to evidence, and to shut the testimony out of the churches, so the others could not hear it. Those who dared not withhold from others the light which God had given them, were shut out of the churches; but Jesus was with them, and they were joyful in the light of His countenance. They were prepared to receive the message of the second angel.

Although the 2520 prophecy is not as widely known about today, it remains a important point of interest for those studying the prophetic heritage of the early Adventist pioneers and even more importantly our grand future. The prophecy underscores God's long-suffering with His people and His ultimate plan for their redemption, which is intricately tied to the larger narrative of biblical prophecy and the soon 2nd Coming/Advent of Christ.

For further study, you can review the original 1843 and 1850 charts and the writings of early SDA Protestant reformer pioneers to verify the information and deepen your understanding of the 2520 prophecy and its role in early Adventist thought.

It was believed by the early SDA Protestant pioneers that the 2520 years began with the captivity of Manasseh, which commenced in 677 B.C. (2 Chronicles 33:11), and terminated 2520 years later on October 22, 1844, when the sanctuary [144,000] began to be cleansed when Christ moved from the Holy Place into the Most Holy Place on October 22, 1844 intead of coming to earth. It was the EVENT (moving into the Most Holy Place from the Holy Place in the heavenly Sanctuary instead of the 2nd Advent of Christ) not the date, October 22, 1844, that was wrong.

The 2,300 day prophecy (day for a year): "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:14 (KJV)

This Daniel 8:14, 2,300 day for a year prophecy started in 457 BC and ended October 22, 1844.

The early Seventh-day Adventist pioneers initially miscalculated the prophetic timeline because they did not correctly account for the transition between BC and AD. This error occurred due to the absence of a "year zero" in the calendar system. The timeline moves directly from 1 BC to 1 AD, without a year zero in between. The pioneers, including William Miller, originally predicted that the fulfillment of the 2300-day prophecy from Daniel 8:14 would culminate in 1843. However, they later realized their error: by not properly accounting for the missing year, they were one year off in their calculations. This correction led them to establish October 22, 1844, as the accurate fulfillment date of the prophecy.

Instead of Christ returning to Earth to get his people, as originally expected, the pioneers came to understand that October 22, 1844, marked Christ’s transition from the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place in the heavenly sanctuary. This understanding was grounded in a deeper study of scriptures like Psalm 77:13, which states, "Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary." This verse, along with others, helped them comprehend that Christ was entering the Most Holy Place to begin the investigative judgment—a heavenly process of reviewing the lives of believers to determine who is worthy of eternal life.

This date also signifies the beginning of the numbering of the 144,000, a group of individuals representing the "Bride of Christ" who keep the 7th day sealing Sabbath. The investigative judgment, initiated on October 22, 1844, is viewed as the period in which the character and faith of these individuals are tested and confirmed. This process will continue until the 144,000 are fully made up, after which probation will close, sealing the fate of every individual.

The selection of the Bride of Christ, as depicted in Revelation 14:1-5, is ongoing until the 144,000 in number is made up and then probation closes. Just as Esther underwent a process of preparation to be chosen as queen, so too are believers called to prepare for their ultimate union with Christ. The Third Angel’s Message, found in Revelation 14:9-12, is a crucial part of this preparation, as it emphasizes the importance of keeping God’s commandments, particularly the Sabbath, which is the seal of God’s people.

This understanding of the prophetic timeline, the transition of Christ’s ministry in the heavenly sanctuary, and the ongoing selection process for the 144,000 reflects the core beliefs that emerged from the Great Disappointment and continues to shape the theology of the 144000.com Remnant Seventh-day Advent Church Triumphant today.

Explanation:

2520 Prophecy: Integrated as a parallel prophecy running from 677 BC to 1844, highlighting its significance in the judgment process leading up to October 22, 1844.

2300 Prophecy: Emphasized as marking the transition of Christ’s ministry in the heavenly sanctuary, laying the foundation for the investigative judgment (selection of the 144,000 from those who profess to Keep the Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus in Revelation 14:12).

Theological Integration: Shows how both prophecies align to mark October 22, 1844, as a critical date in 144,000 eschatology, leading to the ongoing process of selecting the 7th day sabbath sealed 144,000 from October 22, 1844 onward until the number is made up, then probation closes.

2300-Day Prophecy Explained

Key Dates in the 2300-Day Prophecy:

1. Starting Date: 457 BC

The prophecy begins in 457 BC, which is marked by the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. This decree was issued by King Artaxerxes I of Persia, as recorded in Ezra 7:12-26.

The 2,300 day (day for a year) Prophecy of Daniel 8:14 BEGINS 457 BC

Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time.

I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.

Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;

And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,

And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:

That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.

And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.

The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.

And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king's treasure house.

And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.

Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Ezra 7:12-26 (KJV)
This date is critical because it aligns with the beginning of the 70-week prophecy in Daniel 9, which is understood to be part of the larger 2300-day prophecy.

2. Calculation of the 2300 Years:
In prophetic interpretation, particularly using the day-year principle (where one prophetic day equals one literal year), the 2300 "days" represent 2300 years. Starting from 457 BC, when you add 2300 years, you arrive at the year 1844 AD. Since there is no "year zero" between BC and AD, the calculation goes from 1 BC directly to 1 AD.

3. Ending Date: October 22, 1844
October 22, 1844, is the culmination of the 2300-year prophecy and is to mark the beginning of the "cleansing of the sanctuary", in heaven. Rather than a physical event on Earth, this date represents a significant event in the heavenly sanctuary, where Christ transitioned from the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place, beginning the investigative judgment and the selection of the 144,000, a literal number. This interpretation is based on the study of sanctuary typology in the Old Testament and how it relates to the end-time events.

Theological Significance:

Cleansing of the Sanctuary: The "cleansing" mentioned in Daniel 8:14 is understood by Adventists as the start of the investigative judgment in heaven, where Christ examines the records of believers to determine who will be saved of those who PROFESS to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Rev. 14:12). This event is crucial in the process leading up to the Second Coming of Christ.

These dates form the foundation of the early SDA Protestant reformer pioneers of those who restored the 7th day Sabbath became sealed and a part of the 144,000 in number, in the 144,000's eschatology, emphasizing the importance of October 22, 1844 as a turning point in prophetic history and the ongoing work of Christ in the Most Holy Place in the heavenly sanctuary.

Summary of the 2300-day Prophecy in Daniel 8:14

The 2300-day prophecy in Daniel 8:14 is understood as representing 2300 literal years, starting from 457 B.C. and ending in 1844 A.D. This prophecy is linked to the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, marking the beginning of the investigative judgment where Christ reviews the lives of 144,000 believers. The prophecy was central to the Millerite movement, which mistakenly expected Christ's return in 1844, leading to the Great Disappointment. However, this event was later understood to signify the start of the final judgment phase where Christ moved as our high priest from the holy place into the Most Holy Place rather than Christ's second coming on October 22, 1844. The 2300-day prophecy remains a key prophecy, emphasizing the need for preparation for Christ's imminent return.

The early Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) pioneers believed that God’s plan for humanity is revealed through a series of covenants, each symbolizing a deepening relationship between God and His people. Central to this understanding are the Ten Commandments and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12), particularly the 7th day weekly memorial Sabbath, and the prophetic events leading up to and following October 22, 1844.

The First Marriage Covenant: The Ten Commandments at Sinai

The first marriage covenant between God and His people was established at Mount Sinai when God gave the Ten Commandments. This covenant, likened to a marriage, was a formal agreement where God pledged His protection and blessings to Israel, and in return, they pledged their obedience to His law. The Ten Commandments, particularly the fourth commandment regarding the sealing Sabbath, served as a sign of this covenant (Exodus 20:8-11, KJV). The Sabbath identifies God’s people and marks their allegiance to Him as their Creator, who made the heavens and the earth (Exodus 31:16-17, KJV).

The Second Marriage Covenant: The End of the 2520 and 2300-Day Prophecies

The second marriage covenant began after the fulfillment of the 2520 and 2300-day prophecies, both of which culminated on October 22, 1844. This date marks the beginning of the investigative judgment, a crucial phase in the plan of salvation, where Christ moved from the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place in the heavenly sanctuary. Ellen G. White describes this transition as the Bridegroom entering into the Most Holy Place to begin the marriage, symbolizing the selection of His bride—the 144,000, his Remnant Church Triumphant (not the church militant).

Ellen G. White writes:

"The proclamation, 'Behold, the Bridegroom cometh,' in the summer of 1844, led thousands to expect the immediate advent of the Lord. At the appointed time, the Bridegroom came, not to the earth, as the people expected, but to the Ancient of Days in heaven, to the marriage, the reception of His kingdom.” (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 427).

This marriage involves the investigative judgment, which is essentially a selection process to determine who will become part of the 144,000. This group is described in Revelation 14:12 as those "who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus" (KJV). The Sabbath, the seal of God, is particularly emphasized as the identifying mark of this group, distinguishing those who remain loyal to God.

The Investigative Judgment: Selection of the 144,000

The investigative judgment is the process through which God examines the lives of those who professed faith in Christ after the end of the 2520 and 2300 day prophecies on October 22, 1844. This judgment, which began October 22, 1844, determines who among the professed followers of Christ will be found worthy to be part of the 144,000, His remnant church triumphant. Ellen G. White explains that during this period, God is determining who among His people have remained faithful to His commandments, particularly the fourth commandment, which is the seal of God.

The fourth commandment is significant because it declares God's name, title, and territory: “The Lord your God” (His name), “made the heavens and the earth” (His title as Creator), and “the heavens and the earth” (His territory) (Exodus 20:8-11, KJV). The observance of the 7th day Sabbath is thus a sign of allegiance to God and a mark of those who will be part of the 144,000.

Ellen G. White emphasizes:

"The seal of the living God will be placed upon those only who bear a likeness to Christ in character… Those who receive the seal of the living God and are protected in the time of trouble must reflect the image of Jesus fully.” (Ellen G. White, Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, p. 216).

Biblical References to Michael Standing Up and Declaring It is Done, What is Done? The Selection of the 144,000, The Bride of Christ, His Remnant Church Triumphant During the Investigative Judgment!

Daniel 12:1 (KJV):

"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

Comment: This verse marks the close of probation, where Michael, (Christ), stands up to signal the end of intercession in the heavenly sanctuary and the 144,000 in literal number are selected for eternity. This standing up initiates the "time of trouble," a period of unprecedented tribulation for humanity, but also the deliverance of God's faithful people.

Revelation 16:17 (KJV):

"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done."

Comment: This verse signifies the completion of God's judgment as the seventh and final plague is poured out. The declaration "It is done" parallels the closing events of Earth's history, where the judgment is final and the fate of all souls is sealed. This is the culmination of the great controversy between good and evil, leading directly to the second coming of Christ.

Investigative Judgment and the Cosmic Trial of God

The Investigative Judgment, a central doctrine in the early SDA Protestant Remnant 144000.com theology, is more than a mere examination of the lives of believers; it is portrayed as a cosmic trial in which God Himself is on trial before the entire universe.

"Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the HOUR of HIS judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." — Revelation 14:7 (KJV)

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

— Exodus 20:8-11 (KJV)

Comment: By obeying God and worshiping Him through resting on the seventh day, the weekly memorial of creation, we are set apart as holy, hallowed, and identified as a peculiar treasure—the bride of Christ, the 144,000 remnant church triumphant, the New Jerusalem, coming down as a bride adorned for her husband with His character and attributes. Jesus emphasizes this relationship by saying, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15, KJV).

Satan, the accuser, challenges God's character, law, and governance, particularly focusing on whether His commandments can be kept by humanity. This judgment process, which began on October 22, 1844, not only determines the eternal destiny of believers but also serves to vindicate God's character before all creation.

The Cosmic Trial and the Accusation

Satan, the accuser, has continuously challenged the fairness and righteousness of God's law. In this cosmic court, God is essentially on trial, with Satan accusing Him of creating a law that is too burdensome for humanity to keep. Revelation 12:10 (KJV) refers to Satan as the accuser of the brethren:

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

The judgment is thus not just about the deeds of humans but about proving that God’s commandments are just, fair, and possible to keep. Revelation 14:7 (KJV) emphasizes this cosmic judgment:

"Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

The Fourth Commandment: The Seal of God

Central to this cosmic trial is the fourth commandment, found in Exodus 20:8-11 (KJV), which commands the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath:

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

By observing the Sabbath from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday, believers demonstrate their loyalty to God and His law. This obedience serves as evidence that God's commandments can indeed be kept by humanity, thus refuting Satan’s accusations. 1 John 5:3 (KJV) reinforces this:

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

The Mark of God vs. The Mark of Satan

In this cosmic trial, the 7th day Sealing Sabbath observance is the Seal of God—a sign of allegiance to the Creator. Conversely, those who disregard the 7th day Sabbath and follow the papal instituted 1st day of the week, SUN-day WORHIP days not sanctified by God are viewed as bearing the Mark of the Beast, symbolizing allegiance to Satan.

Revelation 14:9-10 (KJV) warns:

"And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation."

The 144,000 as Jurors and Witnesses

In this divine trial, the 144,000 are depicted as God's witnesses—His "jurors"—who testify to the righteousness of His law. These 144,000, representing 12,000 from each tribe of Israel, are selected from every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, showing that God’s law can be kept by anyone, regardless of background. Their role parallels the selection of jurors in a human courtroom, with their faithfulness serving as evidence in God’s favor.

Revelation 7:4 (KJV) describes the 144,000:

"And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."

The 144,000 are not just selected for their obedience, but because they have internalized the Three Angels' Messages, which emphasize the worship of God, the rejection of the beast’s mark, and adherence to the commandments.

Revelation 14:4-5 (KJV) gives further detail:

"These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."

The Close of the Judgment

When Christ, symbolized as Michael, stands up as described in Daniel 12:1 (KJV):

"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

This act marks the end of the investigative judgment. The selection of the 144,000, who have proven that God’s commandments are not grievous, is complete. This is echoed in Revelation 16:17 (KJV):

"And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done."

Conclusion

The investigative judgment is not just about deciding the fate of believers, but about vindicating God's character before the universe. In this cosmic trial, God is on trial, and the 144,000 serve as His witnesses, demonstrating that His commandments, including the Sabbath, can be kept and are not grievous. This ongoing process proves that allegiance to God, marked by Sabbath observance, is the true sign of loyalty, distinguishing the followers of God from those who follow Satan. As the trial concludes, the faithful are sealed, and God's righteousness is upheld.

The Third Marriage Covenant: The Revelation of the Day and Hour

The final marriage covenant will be fulfilled when God reveals the exact day and hour of Christ's second coming. This revelation will complete the union of Christ with His bride, the 144,000, who have been selected through the investigative judgment of those who profess to be a follower of Christ. This group, distinguished by their observance of the seventh-day Sabbath and their faithfulness, will stand without fault before the throne of God (Revelation 14:5, KJV) as witnesses for God that the Ten Commandments and the faith of Jesus can be kept without a mediator after Jesus stands up and says "It is Finished" in the Most Holy Place. The first angel's message in Revelation 14:7 declares, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of HIS judgment is come." Is also called the “judgment hour cry” in the 1840's. This proclamation is directly linked to the 2300-day prophecy, signifying that the hour of God's judgment had indeed arrived with Christ's movement into the Most Holy Place. This message is a call to reverence, obedience, and worship of the Creator in a time of final judgment, and to be a WITNESS for God because the HOUR of HIS Judgement is come. Satan has falsely accused God that His Ten Commandments are to strict, to relax them, but the law of God is perfect, converting the soul and you enter into his rest when you obey the sealing, sanctifying 7th day Sabbath.

Comparison of the 2520 Prophecy and the 2300-Day Prophecy

2520 Prophecy

The 2520 prophecy is rooted in Leviticus 26, where the phrase "seven times" is understood to represent a period of 2520 years. This period begins with the captivity of the northern kingdom of Israel (circa 677 B.C.) and extends to the eventual restoration of God's people. This prophecy highlights God's long-suffering with His people and the consequences of their disobedience, culminating in their scattering.

The 2520 years concluded in 1844, coinciding with the end of Gentile dominion and marking the beginning of a restoration period for God's chosen people. This prophecy was prominently featured on the 1843 and 1850 prophetic charts used by the Millerite movement, emphasizing the timeline of Israel’s scattering (2520) and eventual gathering starting October 22, 1844 as the 144,000 in number grows and is completed, probation closes after this number is made up.

The 1843 and 1850 charts were created to illustrate prophetic periods, judgment, and the end of the world, and they have been instrumental in guiding the people of God in understanding these significant truths. They were designed not just for their time but also for future generations, serving as valuable tools to reveal hidden truths in a clear and understandable manner. The charts the work of divine inspiration, reflecting the prophetic insights given to those who prepared them. Their accuracy and divine origin are testimony to their effectiveness in guiding believers in their study of biblical prophecy.

2300-Day Prophecy

The 2300-day prophecy, found in Daniel 8:14, states, "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." This prophecy is central to the understanding of the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary, which marks the beginning of the investigative judgment when Jesus moved into the Most Holy Place on October 22, 1844.

This date, known as the Great Disappointment, was later understood as the start of Christ’s final work of judgment in the Most Holy Place. The investigative judgment is a crucial phase in salvation history, where the lives of believers are examined, determining who will be sealed for eternity.

The First Angel's Message and the Sealing of the 144,000

The first angel's message in Revelation 14:7 declares, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of HIS judgment is come." This proclamation is directly linked to the 2300-day prophecy, signifying that the hour of God's judgment had indeed arrived with Christ's movement into the Most Holy Place. This message is a call to reverence, obedience, and worship of the Creator in a time of final judgment.

As Jesus conducts the investigative judgment, He identifies those who will be sealed as His own. The 144,000, a special group of believers, are sealed during this time. They are those who, through obedience to all Ten Commandments, including the 7th-day Sabbath, are sanctified and made ready to stand in the presence of a holy God. These individuals are described in Revelation 14:5 as being "without fault before the throne of God."

The Sealing Process and Its Symbolism

The sealing of the 144,000 can be compared to the process of selecting ripe grapes for preservation. God is the husbandman of the vinyard, the gardner, and the canner, and Jesus is the can opener and is the only one worthy to open the seals. These grapes often have a natural white coating, known as the "bloom," which symbolizes the robe of Christ's righteousness that covers and protects them. Just as these ripe grapes are carefully chosen, the 144,000 are selected for their faithfulness and obedience.

In the sealing process, these grapes (believers) are placed in clean jars, and the heating process (symbolizing trials and purification) ensures they are preserved for eternity. The obedience to the 7th-day Sabbath, in particular, is akin to the final sealing of the fruit, marking them as faithful and prepared for the kingdom.

The rotten fruit, representing those who have rejected God's commandments, lacks this protective coating of righteousness and will not endure the sealing process. These individuals are likened to those who will be left for the birds after Christ’s return, unable to stand in the presence of God.

The Final Events: "It Is Finished"

As the investigative judgment concludes, Jesus will stand up in the Most Holy Place and declare, "It is finished." At that moment, the door of mercy will close, and there will be no more intercession for humanity. The 144,000, now fully sealed and clothed in Christ’s righteousness, will stand without a mediator before a holy God. Their faithfulness and obedience will have been perfected, enabling them to stand through the time of trouble that follows.

During this time, the voice of God will announce the day and hour of Christ’s second coming, an event that will resonate with power throughout the earth. To the righteous, it will be a message of hope and fulfillment, but to the wicked, it will sound like thunder.

Final Thoughts

The 2520 and 2300-day prophecies, the sealing of the 144,000, and the investigative judgment are deeply interconnected, representing a divine process of preparation and purification. Just as ripe grapes are covered with a white bloom, symbolizing Christ’s righteousness, believers must be covered by His righteousness through obedience to God’s commandments, particularly the 7th-day Sabbath, to be sealed for eternity. Those who are sealed will stand faultless before God, while the unfaithful will face destruction at Christ's return. This sacred process is a testimony to God’s plan for His people, ensuring their readiness for the final events of earth’s history and their place in His eternal kingdom.

Rules of Interpretation
By William Miller
William Miller's Rules of Bible Interpretation https://144000.com/WilliamMiller/MillersRules/
“In studying the Bible, I have found the following rules to be of great service to myself, and now give them to the public by special request. Every rule should be well studied, in connexion with the scripture references, if the Bible student would be at all benefited by them.”
I. Every word must have it’s proper bearing on the subject presented in the Bible.
Matt. v. 18.
II. All scripture is necessary, and may be understood by a diligent application and study.
2 Tim. iii. 15, 16, 17.
III. Nothing revealed in scripture can or will be hid from those who ask in faith, not wavering.
Deut. xxix. 29. Matt. x. 26, 27. 1 Cor. ii. 10. Phil. iii. 15. Isa. xlv. 11. Matt. xxi. 22. John xiv. 13, 14. xv. 7. James i. 5, 6. 1 John v. 13, 14, 15.
IV. To understand doctrine, bring all the scriptures together on the subject you wish to know; then let every word have it’s proper influence, and if you can form your theory without a contradiction, you cannot be in an error.
Isa. xxviii. 7-29. xxxv. 8. Prov. xix. 27. Luke xxiv. 27, 44, 45. Rom. xvi. 26. James v. 19. 2 Pet. i. 19, 20.
V. Scripture must be it’s own expositor, since it is a rule of itself. If I depend on a teacher to expound it to me, and he should guess at it’s meaning, or desire to have it so on account of his sectarian creed, or to be thought wise, then his guessing, desire, creed, or wisdom is my rule, and not the Bible.
Ps. xix. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. cxix. 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105. Matt. xxiii. 8, 9, 10. 1 Cor. ii. 12, 13, 14, 15, 16. Eze. xxxiv. 18, 19. Luke xi. 52. Mal. ii. 7, 8.
VI. God has revealed things to come, by visions, in figures and parables, and in this way the same things are oftentimes revealed again and again, by different visions, or in different figures, and parables. If you wish to understand them, you must combine them all in one.
Ps. lxxxix. 19. Hos. xii. 10. Hab. ii. 2. Acts ii. 17. 1 Cor. x. 6. Heb. ix. 9, 24. Ps. lxxvii. 2. Matt. xiii. 13, 34. Gen. xli. 1-32. Dan. ii. vii. and viii. Acts x. 9-16.
VII. Visions are always mentioned as such.
2 Cor. xii. 1.
VIII. Figures always have a figurative meaning, and are used much in prophecy, to represent future things, times, and events; such as mountains, meaning governments; beasts, meaning kingdoms. Waters, meaning people. Lamp, meaning Word of God. Day, meaning year.
Dan. ii. 35, 44. vii. 8, 17. Rev. xvii. 1, 15. Ps. cxix. 105. Ezek. iv. 6.
IX. Parables are used as comparisons to illustrate subjects, and must be explained in the same way as figures by the subject and Bible.
Mark 4:13. See explanation of the ten virgins, Miller’s Lectures, No. xvi.
X. Figures sometimes have two or more different significations, as day is used in a figurative sense to represent three different periods of time. 1. Indefinite. 2. Definite, a day for a year. 3. Day for a thousand years. If you put on the right construction it will harmonize with the Bible and make good sense, otherwise it will not.
Eccles. vii. 14. Ezek. iv. 6. 2 Pet. iii. 8.
XI. How to know when a word is used figuratively. If it makes good sense as it stands, and does no violence to the simple laws of nature, then it must be understood literally, if not, figuratively.
Rev. xii. 1, 2. xvii. 3-7.
XII. To learn the true meaning of figures, trace your figurative word through your Bible, and where you find it explained, put it on your figure, and if it makes good sense, you need look no further, if not, look again.
XIII. To know whether we have the true historical event for the fulfillment of a prophecy. If you find every word of the prophecy (after the figures are understood) is literally fulfilled, then you may know that your history is the true event. But if one word lacks a fulfillment, then you must look for another event, or wait its future development. For God takes care that history and prophecy doth agree, so that the true believing children of God may never be ashamed.
Ps. xxii. 5. Isa. xiv. 17, 18, 19. 1 Pet. ii. 6. Rev. xvii. 17. Acts iii. 18.
XIV. The most important rule of all is, that you must have faith. It must be a faith that requires a sacrifice, and, if tried, would give up the dearest object on earth, the world and all its desires, character, living, occupation, friends, home, comforts, and worldly honors. If any of these should hinder our believing any part of God’s word, it would show our faith to be vain. Nor can we ever believe so long as one of these motives lies lurking in our hearts. We must believe that God will never forfeit his word. And we can have confidence that he takes notice of the sparrow, and numbers the hairs of our head, will guard the translation of his own word, and throw a barrier around it, and prevent those who sincerely trust in God, and put implicit confidence in his word, from erring far from the truth, though they may not understand Hebrew or Greek.
These are some of the most important rules which I find the word of God warrants me to adopt and follow, in order for system and regularity. And if I am not greatly deceived, in so doing, I have found the Bible, as a whole, one of the most simple, plain, and intelligible books ever written, containing proof in itself of its divine origin, and full of all knowledge that our hearts could wish to know or enjoy. I have found it a treasure which the world cannot purchase. It gives a calm peace in believing, and a firm hope in the future. It sustains the mind in adversity, and teaches us to be humble in prosperity. It prepares us to love and do good to others, and to realize the value of the soul. It makes us bold and valiant for the truth, and nerves the arm to oppose error. It gives us a powerful weapon to break down Infidelity, and makes known the only antidote for sin. It instructs us how death will be conquered, and how the bonds of the tomb must be broken. It tells us of future events, and shows the preparation necessary to meet them. It gives us an opportunity to hold conversation with the King of kings, and reveals the best code of laws ever enacted.
This is but a faint view of its value; yet how many perishing souls treat it with neglect, or, what is equally as bad, treat it as a hidden mystery which cannot be known. Oh, my dear reader, make it your chief study. Try it well, and you will find it to be all I have said. Yes, like the Queen of Sheba, you will say the half was not told you.
The divinity taught in our schools is always founded on some sectarian creed. It may do to take a blank mind and impress it with this kind, but it will always end in bigotry. A free mind will never be satisfied with the views of others. Were I a teacher of youth in divinity, I would first learn their capacity and mind. If these were good, I would make them study the Bible for themselves, and send them out free to do the world good. But if they had no mind, I would stamp them with another’s mind, write bigot on their forehead, and send them out as slaves!

The 2520 Prophecy Explained Further Incorporating the Hosea 6:2 Prophecy:

The 70 years of captivity, prophesied by Jeremiah, marked a significant period of judgment for the Israelites, culminating in their return from Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple. This period not only fulfilled its immediate purpose but also laid the groundwork for understanding more profound prophecies that would emerge in the context of 144,000 eschatology.

The 457 BC Decree and the 2300-Day Prophecy

The decree to rebuild Jerusalem, issued by Artaxerxes I in 457 BC, is a cornerstone in the calculation of the 2300-day prophecy found in Daniel 8:14. This decree is recorded in Ezra 7:12-26 and marks the starting point for the 2300-day prophecy. Using the day-year principle (one prophetic day equals one literal year), early Adventist pioneers, including William Miller, calculated that 2300 years from 457 BC would end in 1844 AD.

Daniel 8:14 (KJV): "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."

This "cleansing of the sanctuary" was understood by the early numbers to make up the beginnig numbers of the 144,000, the early SDA Protestant reformer pioneers to represent the beginning of the investigative judgment in the heavenly sanctuary, which they believe commenced on October 22, 1844. This date is pivotal in Adventist theology as it marks the transition of Christ’s ministry from the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place in the heavenly sanctuary, where He began the final phase of His intercessory work.

The 2520-Year Prophecy

In parallel, the 2520-year prophecy, derived from Leviticus 26, spans from 677 BC to 1844 AD. This prophecy, often referred to as the "seven times" judgment, represented a period of prolonged judgment upon God’s people due to their disobedience. Like the 2300-day prophecy, this period ends in 1844, reinforcing the significance of this year in 144,000 eschatology as a time of restoration and divine judgment.

Hosea 6:2 and the Two-Day Prophecy

Hosea 6:2 adds another layer of prophetic understanding:

Hosea 6:2 (KJV): "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

Applying the day-year principle, the "two days" are interpreted as 2000 years. Starting from the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ around 31 AD, this prophecy extends to the time just before the Second Coming of Christ, emphasizing a period of spiritual revival and preparation.

Rebuilding the Temple Without Hands

The decree in 457 BC not only led to the physical rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem but also symbolizes a spiritual rebuilding that culminates in the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary in 1844. This concept of a temple "made without hands" refers to the spiritual work of Christ in heaven, preparing a people for His return.

Esther’s Fast and Christ’s Ascension

Just as Esther fasted for two days before approaching the king (Esther 4:16), Christ indicated that His followers would fast after He ascended to heaven:

Esther 4:16 (KJV): "Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish."

Mark 2:20 (KJV): "But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days."

This fasting period parallels the spiritual preparation that believers must undertake during the time between Christ's ascension and His Second Coming, a time marked by the investigative judgment that began the selection of the 144,000 starting October 22, 1844.

Ellen White and Prophetic Timelines

Ellen G. White, a co-founder of the early SDA Philadelphian Church, NOT the CORPORATION STRUCTURED since 1904 now operating as the "GENERAL CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST" self proclaimed Laodicean churches worldwide today, emphasized the importance of understanding these prophetic timelines. She identified October 22, 1844, as a critical date in God’s plan of salvation, marking the beginning of the final atonement and the preparation for Christ's return. She wrote extensively about the need for continued spiritual vigilance and preparation during this period, as believers await the fulfillment of the remaining prophecies.

Hosea 6:2 (KJV): "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

The 70 years of captivity, the 457 BC decree, the fulfillment of the 2300-day and 2520-year prophecies, and the two-day prophecy of Hosea 6:2 all weave together a comprehensive picture of judgment, restoration, and preparation for the Second Coming of Christ. These prophetic milestones underscore the ongoing work of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary which started on October 22, 1844 and the imminent fulfillment of God’s promises as we approach the end of the 2000 years since Christ's crucifixion.

Bridal Chambers of Christ is also called the Most Holy Place in the heavenly Sanctuary

The Prophetic Harmony: 70 Weeks, 2300 Days, 2520 Years, Hosea 6:2, and October 22, 1844

The prophetic timeline presented by the early Millerite Adventist pioneers (Seventh Day Adventist simply means you believe in the Second Advent of Christ and the 4th Commandment, Exodos 20:8-11. The restoration of the 7th day Sabbath started in 1844) weaves together key prophecies that converge on October 22, 1844. These prophecies, drawn from the books of Daniel, Revelation, Leviticus, and Hosea, and others, here a little and there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept, reveal the unfolding of God’s plan for humanity and culminate in a call to repentance and preparation for Christ’s imminent return.

1. The 70 Weeks Prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27)

The 70 weeks prophecy is central to understanding the timeline leading to Christ's first coming and His crucifixion. This prophecy is divided into three segments:

  • 7 weeks (49 years): The time taken to rebuild Jerusalem after the decree in 457 BC.
  • 62 weeks (434 years): The period from the rebuilding of Jerusalem to the coming of the Messiah.
  • 1 week (7 years): The final week, during which the Messiah would be "cut off" in the middle (3.5 years into the last week), marking His crucifixion in 31 AD.

Both the 1843 and 1850 prophetic charts prominently feature the crucifixion in 31 AD, aligning with the prophetic interpretation of Daniel’s 70 weeks.

2. The 2300 Days Prophecy (Daniel 8:14)

The 2300 days prophecy in Daniel 8:14 states: "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."

This prophecy, which began in 457 BC, culminates on October 22, 1844. This date marks the beginning of the investigative judgment, where Christ moved from the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place in the heavenly sanctuary.

Ellen White on the Charts:

  • "God shewed me the necessity of getting out a chart. I saw it was needed and that the truth made plain upon tables would effect much and would cause souls to come to the knowledge of the truth." (Letter 26, 1850; 13MR 359)
  • "There is a prophecy [Habakkuk 2:2-3] of this chart in the Bible.” (13MR 359)

3. The 2520 Years Prophecy (Leviticus 26)

The 2520 years prophecy, derived from Leviticus 26, begins in 677 BC and ends in 1844. The "seven times" mentioned in Leviticus are interpreted as 2520 years, which mark a period of divine judgment upon God's people due to their disobedience. The culmination of this period in 1844 coincides with the end of the 2300 days, emphasizing the significance of this year as prophecied in the Holy Bible.

Ellen White on the 1843 Chart:

"I have seen that the 1843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as He wanted them; that His hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until His hand was removed." (Early Writings, p. 74)

The mistake in the chart was related to the absence of a "year zero" when transitioning from BC to AD, which initially led to the date 1843 instead of 1844. This was later corrected, revealing the true fulfillment in 1844.

4. Hosea 6:2 and the 2000 Years

Hosea 6:2 (KJV):

"After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

The "two days" in Hosea 6:2, when understood through the day-for-a-year principle, represent 2000 years. This period spans from Christ’s crucifixion in 31 AD to the present day, symbolizing a time of spiritual revival and preparation for His return.

5. Calculating Hosea 6:2 Using the 1843 and 1850 Prophetic Charts

To calculate the 2000 years from Hosea 6:2, we start with the crucifixion of Christ in 31 AD, as established by the 70 weeks prophecy:

  • Starting Year: 31 AD (Crucifixion)
  • 2000 Years: Applying the day-for-a-year principle (Ezekiel 4:6 and Numbers 14:34), where one day equals one year, we add 2000 years to 31 AD.
  • Calculation: 31 AD + 2000 years = 2031 AD

This suggests that the time for revival ("two days") is nearing completion, and we are approaching the "third day" when God will fully restore His people, by coming to get us, the 2nd Advent of Christ!, which aligns with the urgency of the final events foretold in the Bible.

The Three-Day Prophecy: A Day for a Year Fulfilled in Christ

As it is written in Hosea 6:2, "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight." This prophecy foreshadows the resurrection of Christ, fulfilled in the third day, as He declared about the temple of His body. The principle of a day for a year is established in Ezekiel 4:6, "I have appointed thee each day for a year," and in Numbers 14:34, "After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year."

    • Mark 15:29 — "And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days." KJV

The basis for the "day for a year" principle comes from these key Bible verses:

"I have appointed thee each day for a year." — Ezekiel 4:6 KJV

"After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year." — Numbers 14:34 KJV

William Miller, in his 14 Rules of how to study the Bible, established this principle as crucial for interpreting prophetic time periods. Rule 9 states: "Figures always have a figurative meaning, and are used much in prophecy to represent future things, times and events; such as mountains, meaning governments; beasts, meaning kingdoms; waters, meaning people; lamps, meaning Word of God; day, meaning year." This understanding underpins the interpretation of prophetic periods, including the 2300 days of Daniel 8:14 and the 1260 days mentioned in Revelation 12:6.

Ellen White affirmed the importance of adopting this method, stating, "Those who are engaged in proclaiming the third angel's message are searching the Scriptures upon the same plan that Father Miller adopted." — "Review and Herald," November 25, 1884. She emphasized the value of this approach in correctly understanding and applying prophetic truths, particularly in the context of the 2nd Advent of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ message.

6. The Shortening of Days (Matthew 24:22)

Matthew 24:22 (KJV):

"And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

As we approach the end of this 2000-year period, the Bible warns of intense tribulations. However, for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. This underscores God’s mercy and highlights the imminent return of Christ.

Conclusion: A Call to Repentance and Return to 'The Present Truth'

The convergence of these prophetic timelines on October 22, 1844, is a divine call to action. The 1843 and 1850 prophetic charts, under divine guidance, serve not just as historical artifacts but as urgent reminders to return to the foundational truths of the early Adventist pioneers.

The 2000 years since Christ’s crucifixion have been a period of divine patience, allowing for the revival and preparation of God’s people during the investigative judgement while Christ is in the Most Holy Place as our High Priest, receiving his kingdom, his marriage to his people, his church, which started on October 22, 1844 to select 144,000 who will keep God's Ten Commandments and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12) specifically the restoration of the 7th day SEALING Sabbath from sundown Friday night to sundown Saturday night, to stand in the sight of a Holy God without a mediator during the time of trouble and the seven last plagues and to be a witness for God during HIS JUDGMENT that His Ten Commandments and the faith of Jesus can be accomplished by claiming his word (2 Peter 1:4, 2 Cor 7:1). As the end of this period draws near, the prophetic significance of these timelines becomes clear. Now is the time to repent, to return to the roots of the early Adventist movement, the teachings of the 144,000 (those, who specifically keep the sealing 4th Commandment, the 7th day sealing 7th day Sabbath) and to embrace 'The Present Truth'. We are called to live in readiness for the final events, as we await the fulfillment of God’s promises in the "third day," when He will raise us up to live eternally in His presence.

This prophetic understanding compels us to prepare, to be vigilant, and to ensure that we are aligned with the truth as revealed through these divinely appointed timelines. The urgency of the times calls for a renewed commitment to the truths held by the early pioneers, guiding us back to the heart of the Adventist message and the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The early SDA Pioneers believed that the 2520 years began with the captivity of Manasseh, which commenced in 677 B.C., and terminated October 22, 1844, when the sanctuary started to be cleansed. The 144,000, the "new Jersalem" who will soon by faith be coming down out of heaven as a bride adorned for her husband after the 2000 year prophecy in Hosea 6:2 is fullfilled that is cut short in righteousness. Jesus is the golden scepter that God holds out to us that we touch to live in his sight like Queen Esther lived in the Kings sight, so shall we if we draw near to the golden scepter God holds out to us to touch and be saved to live in his sight.

Jesus is the golden scepter that God extends to us, inviting us to draw near and touch it, just as Queen Esther touched the golden scepter and found favor in the king’s sight. If we approach Jesus, the golden scepter, we too will find grace and be saved, living forever in the presence of God.

"And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre." Esther 5:2 (KJV)

"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem [144,000], coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:2 (KJV)

Hosea 6:2 (KJV): "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

The Prophetic Significance of the "Third Day" and Hosea 6:2

The Bible consistently highlights the significance of the "third day," a concept that gains profound prophetic meaning when interpreted through the lens of **2 Peter 3:8**, which declares, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that **one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day**" (KJV). This principle extends our understanding of the timeline from literal days to millennia. Beginning with the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ in **31 AD**, a date affirmed on the 1843 and 1850 prophetic charts, we are led into the fulfillment of **Hosea 6:2**: "After two days will he revive us: in the **third day** he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight" (KJV).

This prophecy outlines a period of two thousand years ("two days") following Christ’s first coming, culminating in the **third day**—the third millennium—when God’s people will be raised to eternal life. This theme of the third day is reinforced throughout Scripture:

  • Matthew 12:40 — "For as Jonas was **three days** and **three nights** in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be **three days** and **three nights** in the heart of the earth" (KJV). Here, Christ's burial for three days symbolizes the broader prophetic "three days."
  • John 2:19 — "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and **in three days** I will raise it up" (KJV). This verse ties the concept of resurrection to the third day, both literally and prophetically.
  • Matthew 17:22-23 — "And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill him, and the **third day** he shall be raised again" (KJV). This passage emphasizes the prophetic importance of the third day as a time of resurrection and victory over death.
  • Exodus 19:11 — "And be ready against the **third day**: for the **third day** the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai" (KJV). This event prefigures Christ’s second coming, which is anticipated to occur in the prophetic "third day."

Counting two thousand years from **31 AD** brings us to approximately **2031 AD**. As of **2024**, we are just **7 years** away from this pivotal year. However, Jesus provided a crucial warning in **Matthew 24:22**: "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened" (KJV). This implies that the time leading up to Christ's return will be cut short, underscoring the urgency and imminence of His coming.

The prophecy of **Hosea 6:2** offers a powerful framework for understanding this timeline: "After two days will he revive us: in the **third day** he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight" (KJV). As we stand on the brink of the third millennium since Christ’s resurrection, the fulfillment of this prophecy draws near. With only a few years remaining until **2031 AD**, and with the understanding that this period will be cut short, it is clear that Christ’s return is imminent.

The consistent biblical emphasis on the **third day**—a day of resurrection, restoration, and divine intervention—culminates in the present time. We are living in the days when these prophecies are being fulfilled, calling us to be vigilant, prepared, and steadfast in our faith as we await the imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre." Esther 5:2 (KJV)

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Hosea 4:6 (KJV)

"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure." Isaiah 46:9-10 (KJV)

Hosea 6:2 in Prophetic Context

Hosea 6:2 (KJV): "After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

This verse is often interpreted as a prophecy of spiritual revival and resurrection, symbolizing the timeline leading to significant events, including the second coming of Christ. The "two days" can be seen as 2000 years, aligning with the biblical principle in 2 Peter 3:8 that a day with the Lord is as a thousand years. This leads to the idea that the "third day" represents a period of restoration and living in God’s presence, which could point to the second coming.

Incorporating the Covenant and the Day and Hour

The Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White suggest that God has made a covenant with His people, which includes revealing the day and hour of Christ’s second coming:

Amos 3:7 (KJV): "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

Ellen G. White on the Covenant and the Day and Hour:
Ellen G. White, a prominent early SDA pioneer, wrote about the covenant God makes with His people, particularly concerning the final events and the second coming of Christ. She mentioned that the day and hour of Christ's return would be revealed to the faithful:

Ellen G. White in Early Writings (p. 15): "Soon we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake."

This quote from Ellen G. White indicates that God will reveal the exact time of the second coming to the 144,000, His faithful people, in the final moments of earth’s history.

Shortening of the Time

The Bible indicates that the time before these events will be cut short:

Matthew 24:22 (KJV): "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."

This verse suggests that God, in His mercy, will shorten the period of tribulation leading up to the second coming, making the fulfillment of Hosea 6:2 potentially sooner than anticipated.

Romans 9:28 (KJV): "For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth."

Timeline Based on Prophecy and the Covenant

  1. 31 AD: Crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
  2. 2000 Years (Two Days): From 31 AD, 2000 years brings us to 2031 AD, a potential marker for the "third day" when God will "raise us up" and the faithful will live in His sight.
  3. Shortened Time: Matthew 24:22 and Romans 9:28 suggest that this timeline could be cut short, indicating that the second coming could occur before 2031.
  4. Revelation of the Day and Hour: According to Ellen G. White, the day and hour of Christ’s return will be revealed to the 144,000 just before His coming, fulfilling the covenant God has made with His people.

Biblical Comparisons

  • Esther’s Story: Esther fasted for two days and found favor on the third day, symbolizing preparation followed by deliverance.
  • Jonah in the Belly of the Fish: Jonah's deliverance on the third day parallels resurrection and restoration.
  • Mount Sinai: After two days of preparation, God descended on the third day, symbolizing divine intervention after a period of waiting.

Conclusion: The Imminence of Christ’s Return

Combining these prophecies with the idea that the time will be cut short, it is clear that the fulfillment of Hosea 6:2 is imminent. The faithful, particularly the 144,000, will be prepared and receive the revelation of the day and hour of Christ’s return, fulfilling the covenant God has made. This emphasizes the urgency of spiritual readiness as the time remaining is shorter than the fall of 2031, with Christ’s return cut short and occurring in less than seven (7) years.

The Third Message Closed

Excerpt from the 1858 The Great Controversy Between Christ and His Angels and Satan and His Angels, Chapter 35:

I was pointed down to the time when the third angel's message was closing. The power of God had rested upon his people. They had accomplished their work, and were prepared for the trying hour before them. They had received the latter rain, or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and the living testimony had been revived. The last great warning had sounded everywhere, and it had stirred up and enraged the inhabitants of earth, who would not receive the message.

I saw angels hurrying to and fro in heaven. An angel returned from the earth with a writer's ink-horn by his side, and reported to Jesus that his work was done, that the saints were numbered and sealed. Then I saw Jesus, who had been ministering before the ark containing the ten commandments, throw down the censer. He raised his hands upward, and with a loud voice said, It is done. And all the angelic host laid off their crowns as Jesus made the solemn declaration, He that is unjust, let him be unjust still; and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

I saw that every case was then decided for life or death. Jesus had blotted out the sins of his people. He had received his kingdom, and the atonement had been made for the subjects of his kingdom. While Jesus had been ministering in the Sanctuary, the judgment had been going on for the righteous dead, and then for the righteous living. The subjects of the kingdom were made up. The marriage of the Lamb was finished. And the kingdom, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, was given to Jesus, and the heirs of salvation, and Jesus was to reign as King of kings, and Lord of lords.

As Jesus moved out of the Most Holy place, I heard the tinkling of the bells upon his garment, and as he left, a cloud of darkness covered the inhabitants of the earth. There was then no mediator between guilty man, and an offended God. While Jesus had been standing between God and guilty man, a restraint was upon the people; but when Jesus stepped out from between man and the Father, the restraint was removed, and Satan had the control of man. It was impossible for the plagues to be poured out while Jesus officiated in the Sanctuary; but as his work there is finished, as his intercession closes, there is nothing to stay the wrath of God, and it breaks with fury upon the shelterless head of the guilty sinner, who has slighted salvation, and hated reproof. The saints in that fearful time, after the close of Jesus' mediation, were living in the sight of a holy God, without an intercessor. Every case was decided, every jewel numbered. Jesus tarried a moment in the outer apartment of the heavenly Sanctuary, and the sins which had been confessed while he was in the Most Holy place, he placed back upon the originator of sin, the Devil. He must suffer the punishment of these sins.

Then I saw Jesus lay off his priestly attire, and clothe himself with his most kingly robes -- upon his head were many crowns, a crown within a crown -- and surrounded by the angelic host, he left heaven. The plagues were falling upon the inhabitants of the earth. Some were denouncing God, and cursing him. Others rushed to the people of God, and begged to be taught how they should escape the judgments of God. But the saints had nothing for them. The last tear for sinners had been shed, the last agonizing prayer offered, the last burden had been borne. The sweet voice of mercy was no more to invite them. The last note of warning had been given. When the saints, and all heaven were interested for their salvation, they had no interest for themselves. Life and death had been set before them. Many desired life; but did not make any effort to obtain it. They did not choose life, and now there was no atoning blood to cleanse the sinner. No compassionate Saviour to plead for them, and cry, Spare, spare the sinner a little longer. All heaven had united with Jesus, as they heard the fearful words, It is done, It is finished. The plan of salvation had been accomplished. But few had chosen to accept the plan. And as mercy's sweet voice died away, a fearfulness and horror seized them. With terrible distinctness they hear, Too late! too late!

Those who had not prized God's word were hurrying to and fro. They wandered from sea to sea, and from the north to the east, to seek the word of the Lord. Said the angel, They shall not find it. There is a famine in the land; not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. What would they not give for one word of approval from God? but no, they must hunger and thirst on. Day after day have they slighted salvation, and prized earthly pleasure, and earthly riches, higher than any heavenly inducement and treasure. They have rejected Jesus, and despised his saints. The filthy must remain filthy forever.

A great portion of the wicked were greatly enraged, as they suffered the effects of the plagues. It was a scene of fearful agony. Parents were bitterly reproaching their children, and children reproaching their parents, brothers their sisters, and sisters their brothers. Loud wailing cries were heard in every direction, It was you who kept me from receiving the truth, which would have saved me from this awful hour. The people turned upon the ministers with bitter hate, and reproached them, telling them, You have not warned us. You told us all the world was to be converted, and cried, Peace, peace, to quiet every fear that was aroused. You have not told us of this hour, and those who warned us of it you said were fanatics, and evil men, who would ruin us. But the ministers, I saw, did not escape the wrath of God. Their sufferings were ten-fold greater than their people's.

Repeat their words the words of the early SDA Protestant pioneers

There is to be in the [Seventh-day Adventist] churches a wonderful manifestation of the power of God, but it will not move upon those who have not humbled themselves before the Lord, and opened the door of the heart by confession and repentance. In the manifestation of that power which lightens the earth with the glory of God, they will see only something which IN THEIR BLINDNESS THEY THINK DANGEROUS, something which will arouse their fears, and they will BRACE THEMSELVES TO RESIST IT. Because the Lord does not work according to THEIR ideas and expectations they will oppose the work. “Why,” they say, “should we not know the Spirit of God, when we have been in the work so many years?””—The Review and Herald Extra, December 23, 1890.
The third angel's message will not be comprehended, the light which will lighten the earth with its glory will be called a false light, by those who refuse to walk in its advancing glory.—The Review and Herald, May 27, 1890.
  2. “In amazement the people learn that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her ERRORS and SINS, because of her REJECTION OF THE TRUTH SENT TO HER FROM HEAVEN. The people go to their former teachers with the eager inquiry, Are these things so? The ministers present fables, prophesy smooth things, to soothe their fears and quiet the awakened conscience. But since many refuse to be satisfied with the mere authority of men and demand a plain 'Thus saith the Lord,' the popular ministry, like the Pharisees of old, filled with anger as their authority is questioned, denounce the message as of Satan and stir up the sin-loving multitudes to revile and persecute those who proclaim it.” —Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 606.
