Upon these theories he was commenting at length. I was listening attentively to the speaker. Finally he read something that looked like a living temple. He said, 'This temple is to be rebuilt. The Lord has given me light regarding this temple.'
I stood up in the meeting, and in a clear voice said, 'That is not so; the Lord has not given you light regarding that temple. He has not instructed you to put such a construction upon those words. This is not the light of truth that is coming from the people of God. Gather up your forces and come out from this company [501(c)3 GENERAL CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST], for this is not the light of truth.'
I then awoke, and for a time could not think where I was. I fell asleep again, and seemed to be in a council meeting, where these same people were presenting their ideas. In the vision I was speaking before them with great earnestness. I said, 'You are bringing in confusion. You are placing minds where they will be deceived and led away from the truth. The work that has been carried on for the last fifty years [Pioneer Adventists] must be carried forward. If the foundations of our faith are swept away [1841-1850], what can we do? I know that our foundation is established in the truths that God has given us.'
